Alex Pissios Recap

Pissios was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois. He has a bachelor’s degree in film from Columbia College Chicago. He also completed coursework at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and The Second City Training Center.

Professional Experience

Alex Pissios is the President and CEO of Cinespace Film Studios, the largest film studio in North America. He is also the Commissioner of the Cook County Assessor’s Office, one of the largest assessors’ offices in the United States.

Pissios has been involved in the film industry for over 20 years. He began his career working on films such as Batman Forever and Con Air in the art department. He then transitioned to production, working on films such as The Matrix Reloaded and The Italian Job. In 2004, Pissios founded Cinespace Film Studios, which has since become the largest film studio in North America.

Alex Pissios is a member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, the Producers Guild of America, and the Directors Guild of America. He has served on the boards of several organizations, including Cook County Assessor’s Office, The Matrix Reloaded, The Italian Job, Gapers Block Film, the City of Chicago’s Media Production Fund, and Choose Chicago. He is a recipient of the City of Chicago’s Gapers Block Film Illinois award.
